I'm a wife, a mom, and a granny. I have been retired for 3 years now and always thought about writing a children's book.
Grandchildren can make you do crazy things and inventing characters based on them is one of those things.
As I tired of story telling about ninjas and super heroes, fighting, battling, and defending the cities, I knew it was time to develop another character. I looked at 2 of my grandsons and thought how cute it would be if they saw themself in the character.
That's when I came up with Mac and Rowdy. Turtles. Why? I do not know.
I wanted something for all my grandchildren to enjoy. Make them laugh, shake his/her head, and so far Mac and Rowdy has done that for the 2 boys they were created from.
All my grandchildren will be in the future stories and there will be lots more trouble and shananigans going on.
They inspire me. They keep you young.
In the small community I live in there are places that locals can show off his/her new product, design, ideas, or some yummies.
And eventually, I am hoping Mac and Rowdy will be part of this community, visiting schools, hospitals, senior centers, and local markets.
